Are you really selling it? I don't think I could sell mine...I still have 4 unwed sisters who could use it, and if all else fails, I hope to have a daughter one day... My mom kept hers, and though I never thought about or watned to wear it, sometimes I sneak into her closet and look at it. As a wedding gift, my mother had my dress specially pressed and/or preserved in a see-though box where you can see the bust and neckline. Anyways, GL on a quick sale! Being in SLC, I would find it hard to believe you not being able to sell it quickly. What are you asking for it, btw?
Well, here's the thing, my only younger sister is rachel. I don't know that she would want to wear my dress. marcia wouldn't want to wear her younger sister's dress when she gets married. But when it is family, you kinda want to have not the same dress, since the parents will have pictures. I kinda hope that my daughters will be smaller than I was (though I did think I looked AMAZING at my wedding, not gonna lie). The dress is relatively plain, and that is what I wanted, who knows if that is what they will want. I just don't want to store it. I don't see the point in spending money to keep it around. I have plenty of pictures of it. My mom kept her dress, which linda did wear, but not many pictures. I haven't ever thought about what effect the dress being in the little girls room had on me. Guess I should think about that. I'm asking $250. I think that's doable, right?
Okay, Alisha, I know just the woman for you to talk to about crafting your wedding dress into a new life. Her name is Ethel Olson. Let's talk about it.
