I am sure it is well known that I like alexis bledel. But I need to say something about how much this image moves me. I was raised on Rosie the Riveter. She is part of the current social psyche of all American women (at least I think so). Do you agree? I kind of wonder what it was like to be female in America before her. I have an idea, at least of what being a mother was like, from reading this book. I had heard Brigitte Lacombe's name before, I honestly cannot remember where, but I have been enjoying her work immensely now. All the images from this project are on MSN, apparently they were for Glamour, I guess. I do not love them all (who am I to judge, though), but I think this is because I am not as familiar with these historical figures in terms of history, but also in terms of look and style (since it was about style, after all). I do enjoy the shot of Alicia Keys as Michelle Obama, and very much like Amelia Earhart as portrayed by Hayden Panettiere. These images are incredibly stylized and worth a look.
