As a side note: I met this amazing woman while changing my name on my social security card after being married. We started chatting about books because I had with me Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver (If you haven't read any Kingsolver, I would suggest reading The Poisonwood Bible first). Anyway, she said to me, "I know this might be a strange question, but would you like the join my bookgroup?" It is now years later, and the strength I gain from the feminine cocoon (that all good bookgroups are, so says Elizabeth Noble in The Reading Group), well, I am overwhelmingly grateful. Thank you, Marti for this and so many other things. I love you.

Alisha, I really like that you meet make and keep great friends at a social security office. I don't naturally do that but I've been trying to be like that more. It's nice to hear a positive story like that :)
