We decided it was time to bring out the big guns and celebrate halloween... and what better way than playing with your food with great friends and making non-scary (and edible!) monsters?! Mine's the top. I didn't win the contest we played with our guests, neither did Todd, but it was fun all the same!
I have been thinking about this project for awhile. It is joining Within Walking Distance (one of my other projects). The idea behind it is that women are surrounded with beauty. I enjoy cooking--food can be delicious to the eye as well as the stomach, and so many other things are gorgeous. This will be a great study for me, keep my grateful for the things surrounding me. It is getting me back to my roots of found light and life as art.
I saw a post by MLW photography about this great place, and realized it is very close to my house, so I headed that way for my walk today. I have a soft spot for jellies, jams, tasty butters... and I think there is something endearing about names that belong in the 50's, like June Taylor.
